Can be fairly difficult to successfully keep these beautiful fish. They tend to prefer Soft and acidic water. Often mistaken for Harlequin Rasbora.

By far my favorite rasbora, doesn't get as deep bodied as harlequins, but the coloration is alot brighter. Adults are bright red across their body. I would keep them in a shoal of at least 6 with 10 being ideal. I've kept them in hard water with no problems, the key is to have a very heavily planted aquarium and to feed them small amounts of food two - three times daily
-Cheers!
