Have kept numerous Gourami's and find these to be the most peaceful.

Elaine

I have a fully grown 5' gourami, he's mostly peaceful, occasionally he likes to chase the dwarf gourami in my tank and the paradise fish, but I think it's just his way of letting them know he's the king of the tank. Highly recommended fish, but careful, they have the uncanny ability to squirt water at you during feeding time!

Tino

I have two 3" pearl gourami's, a male and a female and I think they are the most beautiful gourami, although they tend to be a bit checky to my fully grown 5" blue gourami by sneeking up behind him and nipping his tail then when he turns around to chase them, they gap it! haha its really funny to watch.

Cody

Very peacful fish. I have 6 and they are currently 3 inches. I bought them when they were still fry. In my experience they are very hardy. Never took any casualties. Good fish for begginers.

Black Eyed Sushi Man

I have a male pearl and a male dwarf and the pearl always trys to fight with the dwarf and causes some damage, but when the dwarf is hiding under plants (which he does most of the time) the pearl is as peaceful as possible.

I have two females and a male in my planted 55 gallon. They can be shy around people. Mine seem to know me and will hide when other people come. They do occationally chase my tetras or platies but they never chase them more than a few inches away and never bite them. One of my females is over 5 years old and still going strong. She got skin flukes a while back and after I treated the tank she got an infection where they were attached. I also treated the tank with antibiotics and she pulled through just fine. The other two I got about 2 years ago. They are one of my favorite species and definately my favorite labrinth fish.

Cillana

I bought my male nd female pearl gouramis a little while back and they straight away took over the tank they constantly show off to each other and are always the first to eat. Best fish i have ever had.
