Great little fish. I have 7 and they like to hang around in a loose shoal. They look pretty dull when young but if kept in good conditions really shine when they get bigger. They are quite easy to sex mature males have a straighter front edge and amore pointed lower corner to the triangle. The female is plumper.

Great fish to have in a comunity planted tank. Always keep in shoal of at least 6. In-breeding in the commercial stock has caused the fish to lost much of its copper reddish colours as compared to the "wild caught" ones. This however can be compensated by introducing Carotene based food to their diet to enhance the copper red colour.

These fish are very hardy. Although most resources say they need to be kept in soft, acidic water, I've kept them in hard water with a pH of 7.8. They're also sold in stores as Rasbora Hets.

I have several of these wonderful fish in my community. They are peaceful and exceptionally colorful! In my opinion they are great fish for most planted tanks!

Marina

I have 36 of these guys in my 55 gallon tank. They are the only fish in there. They are so cool! Even though they are young they are showing bright colors and loving being in this HUGE group. They school like mad. They are so beautiful. If you have never seen a species tank of these guys with more then 30 of them..you are missing out....Great fish to have! They like to explore. Once I was doing water changes with my DIY python and the long gravel tube was on the side....the whole group swam near it and around it...then one went under and up only to swim around in circles in the tube untill he swam out and was with the group again. These guys will give you a laugh.

I love these little guys. I have six and they have a heirarcy the leader is the most colorful but not the biggest. Very entertaining fish.

Very attractive little fish. Mine are in ultra great shape as i condition all my fish with a good variety of great foods. They hold thier own in my community tank that holds a Geophagus jurupari, keyhole cichlid, several cory cats, hoplosternums, and flagtail cats, as well as many other rasboras such as greater scissortails ect. Tough little handsome fish....very underated.

Hop

A peaceful, schooling fish that prefers soft water, but will acclimate to harder water as well. Prefers open water areas, close to dense vegetation. Should be kept in schools of 6 or larger.

Unirdna

Neat little fish. I have 18 and they keep a pretty tight shoal most of the time. They like to hang out in the middle/upper regions of the tank mostly. The LFS sold these as "lamp chop rasboras", but they have been ID'd as these. Keeping them in a heavily planted tank with ph 6-6.2 and gh/kh around 4.

These little fish are very nice. They have good colors and are very active. I have 20 of these fish in my tank. It swims mostly on the upper section of the tank. Rarely do I see one go to the bottom. They school better than my cardinals.

I have about 10 of these guys and they school very well. They are very peaceful fish. To be aboe to get the color out of these fish it takes quite a while. As mentioned before the colors start to show once they are established and feel safe. They are very aggressive eaters and will happily take all sorts of foods.

I don't kno why I seem to always buy these fish but I always end up buying at least 4 to 5 ...and usually only one lives ..right now it is pretty big and I have never seen a bigger rasbora as mine anywhere else...about 1.5 inches..its incredible that it survived some hard times when I wasn' t taking good care of it

i love this fish. When i start feeding them they start going crazy to get food very quickly like piranhas, and very active fish. I also like the color, not strikingly bright like some other fish but it blends well with planted tanks.
