Love these guys. They inhabit a planted tank of mine and I am constantly taking them out and using them for feeders.

I breed these guys a lot. They do well for breeding at about 80F. Best shown with light from back and top of the tank. Aslo, bewarned they can, and will cross with guppies, swordfish, mollies, and platies! They will eat most any foods. I sugest these for any one just starting up a tank, as they are very hardy, and easy to keep. Aslo, any fungi, or deases will yeld to a 'salt bath'. I usaly, have a 5 gallon set up as a hospital for these guys, with 2 teaspoon of aquarium salt. Do not put any egg laying fish in a salt bath, as this will result in death of your fish. The fry will eat finely ground dry foods on the first day of birth. Keep them away from adults untill they are of equal size (about 2 months). Males show colors when their size is fully reached, but can mate before hand. Females are colorless, whith the males comming in manny colors, and variations. These fish are commonly sold as feeder fish, though the feeders may be heavly diseased. I can answer most questions, just e-mail me.

The picture of the fish with the long tail looks to be a guppy/endler hybrid, or possibly a wild guppy. Someone from endlersr.us would be able to verify.
Also, the feeder fish at local fish stores are wild guppies and not Endler's livebearers, although they look similar. Endler's are much more expensive and harder to get than guppies and would not be in a feeder tank at the lfs. I hope this info helps someone from mistakenly buying guppies thinking they were endler's

It looks to be pure to me, I have had some pure endlers with longer tails than that. But must be traceable for calss n. If not traceable it would be classified as class P.

"Aslo, bewarned they can, and will cross with guppies, swordfish, mollies, and platies!"
Not entirely true. They can crossbreed with guppies and mollies (Though the Molly X Endler hybrid will be sterile) but not Swordtails/Platys.

endlers should not have sword tails, color in 1 TIP of the tail(or both) is fine, as long as it doesnt stick out past the tail. for instance the endler pic on my left(with his top fin up) appears 100% pure, infact i have several that look just like that... now the pic on the right looks hybrid. BTW if anyone ever needs any mine are pure and class P

I disagree with Kents, I have had them cross breed with sword tails, I had one with a distinct sword like tale.
Great fish, I recommend them to anyone, especially those new to the hobby. They breed so fast it hard to fail with these guys.

i disagree, they can be left with the parents because the mum doesnt eat the babys, unlike guppies
