I love these fish. Although most people think that because they are so common they're boring. Not true. I have 4 males in my 10gal planted. They are the most interesting fish I have had. They swim and play chase with my cories and each other. MANY colors, I have one red, one blue, one green/blue and one yellow/orange. Very easy to keep. I have had mine for alomst a 1yr old and have no problems. These fish are great for anything. Put 3 in 5 gallon and have endless fun for a small child, more intersting then just the 1 betta most people but in smaller tanks. Or keep like 50 in a 75gal. Or anything in between. They're awesome and I would recondmend them to almost anyone.

These are very delicate, little fish that should not be placed in a tank full of fin-nippers (tiger barbs). They are usually easy to breed. A hardness of 10 - 30dGH and a PH of around 7. Floating plants are advisable.

I have 4 fancy guppies (2 male & 2 female) in a 10 gallon planted tank with 2 female bettas. All of them get along great and the color combinations between the bettas (I have long finned female bettas, with very dark/bright colors) and the guppies make for an interesting tank.

I love guppies, I have a 30 gallon tank at home with 5 females and 4 males. It is pretty much a comunity tank but the guppies make most of the population.

great fish to add in a small group to a community tank. add at least 1 female with the colorful males and they will breed and you can keep a steady population. Its also amazing to see how their colors can mutate, i had nothing but black bodies and orange-brown tails and some with bright orange tails for a year; all of a sudden 3 fry had silver (really light) bodies and the same color tail. the fry also make great food for larger fish (my boesemanis chase the fry into the moss and hornwort for weeks until they give up, how many survive depends on the amount of plants and the amount and type of predators).

Guppies are great. They are very easy to breed and were my first live-bearing breeders, their colours are fantastical and play with other fish such as mollies with no problem at all.

They breed like mad. Common maybe but interesting and fun to have in your tank. My female guppies are voracious about food. They will steal the food right out of my cories mouths. Don't get between them and a worm.

I love Guppy's. They are energetic, come in many colors, easy to breed, and available all the time. They are really fun to watch and can go with any theme you have whether it is a fantasy or natural.

It is unanimous, guppies are so awesome! I have all community tanks and the majority are guppies. I have a five gallon planted tank with about ten guppies and a chinese algae eater, and a 12 gallon planted tank with about 15 guppies and a female beta, three glowlight tetras, and two cory catfish, and a 77 gallon planted tank with about 20 guppies, 10 platies, 2 swordtails, two rainbow fish, 3 gold barbs, 1 very large pleco, 3 siamese algae eaters, 3 chinese algae eater, and 2 cory catfish. They all get along wonderfully. But one thing is there should be about 3 females to 1 male guppy because the males will overwhelm the female by constantly chasing her around. So make sure there are enough females to share the love. ;o) I love to just sit and watch them and can't believe the beauty of the colors of my guppies. They are the best!!
