Sorry Juan, I have to agree with Mick, I had two Lemons and they played rough. Be careful who you mix them with. They did do an entertaining nose-to-tail dance until exhausted.

This fish is the most agressive territorial fish I have ever come across. The local bar owner has one in a tank on the bar, it is in the tank with a pleco which seems too scared to move, when it does the lemon yello is on top of it. Its like an aggressive drunk, any customer who sits near the tank gets the evil eye for most of the evening.... Probably a great fish if you just want to add a bright splash of colour to a planted tank

From all the Rift Lake cichlids, the Labidochromis is the less the territorial of ALL of them. I can prove you since I have experince with african cichlids and especially with Labs. I´m sorry Mick to tell you are wrong... it's truth that being a cichlid it has a territorial tendency but the Lab is fish that does not look for trouble, a recomended fish for someone starting with African Cichlids. A proof of this is that I have a full grown up male (12cm) with all other mbunas, and I have never saw him killing any other companion. A very agressive african cichlid as describe by Mick can be Melanochromis Auratus or any Kenyi (for example). Juan
