Zebra Danios are some of the most common aquarium fish. They are extremely active and an excellent addition to any planted tank. They tend to stay near the surface and seem to never stop swimming. They need alot of free swimming space and can sometimes bother smaller, more peaceful fish.

An excellent addition to my tank. Gets along fine with gold mollies, and what's cool is that both need flakes, crushed algae (occasionally), and have other commonalities

Great addition to an aquarium if you want to pull some fish up off of the bottom. I had neons and black phantoms that seemed to always be right on the bottom but after adding half a dozen Zebra Danios they all come up to about mid tank to see what all the fuss is about cause the Zebra Danios are so active.

I have eight of these guys in my aquarium and it's nonstop action in there they swim all over the place chasing each other and looking for food I really enjoy watching them. I hand feed mine blood worms, fish flakes and srinkle in some fish pellets, these guys make a fun addition to any aquarium.

Zebra Danios are very active schooling fish and would do best in groups of at least 5. They are very hardy and are often used for cycling, but are great fish to keep well beyond the end-of-cycle. They seem to enjoy swimming against currents and playing "tag" with each other. There are two versions commonly available: regular and long-finned. Both are a great addition to any peaceful, tropical community tank!

This fish is incredibly hardy. I had a really bad ich outbreak in my tank, and despite my best treatment measures, the fish that survived was a 3 year old beast of a catfish and my zebra danio, even though he was the runt of the tank at the time. when i moved, i cycled my tank with just zebra and leopard danios.

These are very active fish as well as colorful. All my experiences with them have gone well, they are a hardy fish. I recommend keeping them in groups of at least 5 or more (the bigger, the better). I have found that in small groups they tend to pick on the smaller of the group.

Great starter fish. I have 3 Zebra Danios with 6 Leopard Danios and there is activity all over the tank. They helped me cycle my 29g twice and my 10g.

I got 5 of the long finned pink ones recently and yea like everyone else has said these guys don't stop moving. In fact they move so much it's almost to a fault. They're not pulling out my other fish but they sure make feeding time a whole lot more livelier. They're also a great beginner fish as they are relatively cheap and beginners love to see movement. Suggested for any one in need of something to look at

I have six of these little guys and they make great fish for beginners and advances.

They are extremely hardy and also active, so they may not do well with slow/peaceful fish. Zebra's make excellent pulling fish, especially with timid fish who are too scared to come into the open. They will see the danios running about and feel more comfortable. Also, when first cycling a tank these are also ideal fish - though remember that cycling is hard on all fish even those who don't seem effected by it.

Despite their community nature I haven't found them to be good schooling fish, as they tend to spread out all over the tank. Mine swim top, middle and bottom (though mostly because I only have suckers on the bottom of their tank) and even whem my Ember Tetra's were in with them, they just swam every which way.

Some very nice danios to compliment them are the long-finned variety, which come in blue, yellow, and the zebra stripped and probably more that I'm not familiar with.

In an example of how tolerant they are to change; when my heater malfunctioned all my fish were toasted, even the pleco, except for the Zebra Danios. Not one of them died or fell ill.
