Very nice, love the splashes of pink/red. If you do hardscape, I would suggest thinner pieces of wood to keep the overall feeling light and airy

i actually like this w/o the hardscape. i'd leave it. it's so nice and light feeling! it's like the pink frosted cupcake of the aquarium world. lol.
