One of the best looking plants I've managed to grow!! As long as you have the proper lighting and fert regime, it will grow fast (and inch a week)and begin so send out side shoots!! Everyone that sees my tank always comments on the "big reddish-purple tree-like plant". It also grows upright rather than twisted like L. repens. A great background or centerpiece!! Georgiadawgger This plant is gorgeous! I had it for a good few months (in which it thrived) and then it just started melting away even though I hadn't changed anything with my tank. The color was pretty easy to maintain though. The higher leaves were deep purple and the lower more dark pink. Viia


eyebeatbadgers Planted Tank Guru	This is an easy plant to grow, and does not require high lighting. Under very low light conditions, the color will be green/red. In higher light tanks, the growth is about a medium pace, growing 1" per week roughly.

I have 8 stems of this plant with some almost 30 inches tall, the top 6 to 8 inches are a deep red color with green leaves closer to the substrate, the base of the plants can be thin a look better behind a thicker mid/fore ground planting. I used substrate fertilizers plus EI dosing with 2.15 wpg to get an inch per week of growth from this plant, but as stated the red color is very striking. This plant is grown emersed and can look very different at the time of purchase with the leaves green on top and a bright light red under the leaves, these leaves may fall off and be replaced with new leaves.


Kitsune_Gem Planted Tank Obsessed	Seems to be an easy plant to grow. Does well under medium lighting, and is growing very fast. In two weeks its grown over 2 inches. Ive already had to cut off part of it and replant it several times. Though if it starts to lose its red color a bit of Iron added into the water gets it looking nice and red again.


gogi Algae Grower	I grow these in medium light with root tabs as fert. Very hardy plant.
