I had this plant under mod-high light in a 55. It put out new leaves alomost daily that reached about 18". It can get much larger, but if old leaves are kept trimmed off it is quite manageable. Very beautiful sword.
I have one under low light (~1.8 wpg CFL) and it's doing fine, with beautiful new leaves, but growing slowly. It's growing in small gravel, so it suffers if I don't add root tabs, but it does just fine as long as I add them.
Mine gets large and the plant took the midground place as a focal point of a tank. I'm afraid it needs high light due to the red leaves. Guess I was wrong because grows fast in my moderate lighted tank. Puts out new red leaves a day. It had flowered once and produces two offshoots.
