This one can be a real tank buster. In my 10 gallon DIY c02 40 watts compact fluorescent lighting, it is growing like crazy and I have to trim it weekly. The same for my 40 gallon with 2 55 watt AH supply bright kit lights and 30 ppm pressurized c02. Lol, it is almost as bad as duckweed.
Puntius denisonii (torpedo barbs, roseline sharks) will eat the leaves of this plant. They will completely strip the leaves off over time, and keep eating any new leaves that try to grow.
I could not get this plant to do well in the tank with my Puntius denisonii. I eventually realized the fish were eating the leaves.
I have moved this plant to another tank that does not have any Puntius denisonii, and it has grown back very strong.
it was doing well in my aquarium during winter(i live in a tropical area where temp drops rarely below 12 deg C in winter) but as summer came in and the temp soared in the 40s,it grew thinner and now it is looking like a mass of few entangled threads with small leaves about 2mm size.
