Have this as both a floater and potted. Each leaf is capable of becoming an individual plant. Each leaf can produce multiple flowers. As for requirements I do not know as I had found this floating. I do know it is of Asian origin so is an invasive species in the U.S. . I have this in low tech tanks one being a 10g. Given enough light edge of leaves will turn purple.
