I have this plant attached to driftwood and it is a deep green with the tips or new growth being a bright green, it is a slow grower that responds to light, CO2, and fertilizer in the water column but will grow just as well with almost no requirements. It also does better in cooler water and can start to have problems above 80 degrees. In my experience it does not float so if you trim or a piece comes off you may find it growing in the other end of your aquarium, regardless it adds a nice look to any aquarium.
Just received about two inches of this moss from a friend, and I have tied down to a Buddha head cave in my 15 gal. column tank. All I have as far as light is the factory hood light, and it's just fine.
