Awesome leaf formation on this attractive plant, this one is definitely on my favorite list. High lighting is suggested for this plant to maintain compact growth and good leaf formation but for the plants above lighting was provided by a 32watt x 4 driven by a T5 HO ballast over a 90gal. Water params: KH=0~1, GH=5, PH=less than 6, Temp=82-84, Ferts= per sticky for 90gal & Lighting= 48" 32watt 6500k HD lights x 4 driven by T5 HO ballast.

This plant is also good co2 indicator...Umbrella(Leaf/s) open up bright green if there is enough co2 in tank...loves high light for compact growth. Will be tall if light is not sufficient. Recently notices one more thing about this sp. If you let it float individually (single node), It produces multiple nodes with-in and super compact growth....Love this plant!!!

With ferts and high light its a nice plant to attach to wood. Will creep around everywhere in to small holes and whatnot.
