By far my favorite rasbora, doesn't get as deep bodied as harlequins, but the coloration is alot brighter. Adults are bright red across their body. I would keep them in a shoal of at least 6 with 10 being ideal. I've kept them in hard water with no problems, the key is to have a very heavily planted aquarium and to feed them small amounts of food two - three times daily
It is one of my favorite schooling fish, they look fantastic in a planted tank! Unfortunately I donít seem to be able to find them locally (South Florida) or at least close enough so I donít have to pay $50 in shipping alone. Another great fish is the rasbora hengeli but I canít find it locally either. Does anybody know who sells them? If so, please send me a message.
Love these guys! I keep them with neon tetras, and they love to "play" together! They are also pretty cool because it sometimes looks like they have no tail! Awesome, hardy fish! They love to eat though, at least twice as much as my neons.
