I have a male and a female cockatoo that get along fine with everything. The funny thing is I have two German Rams the male Ram sometimes chase my beta, and my beta chases the cockatoo. Iím hoping once the cockatoo gets a little bigger the beta will stop chasing it.
I've got one of these in my 90G and he's starting to get a bit aggressive with my two bolivian rams and my sterbai corys. I don't think it's too big of a problem as they aren't exactly fighting but the cacatuoides definitely chases them around a bit. The tank is big enough with enough driftwood that all the fish can get quiet time if they need it, but be aware that this could be an issue in smaller tanks without all the hiding spots. Love this fish -- awesome personality and great finnage.
Awesome little guys, they are extremely attractive and have quite some personality. They don't get too big and are WAY easier to keep than GBR's (German Blue Rams). They can handle colder temps and are adaptable to my hard water tap and r.o. water mix. The orange fins on my triple red resemble fire.
