I love this little guy. He is about 6 inches long. The only thing I'm having trouble with, is he is a fast fish and dashes around the tank pulling up my plants that I have to replant almost daily.
I am hoping to get one in a weeks time now, and i am reserving one which is about 4 inches long at the moment in the fish store, i currently have 6 panda corys and 2 striped doras. As you can see it is a catfish tank. Having 3 of these fish with 6 of the corys and 2 of the doras (doras get large) be alright?
I have two beautiful Pictus, raised from 1" to 3.5" and 4", too big for my 12-g Nano-Cube. They are starting to wrestle too much. Anyone in area interested? I want to start over with smaller Pictus. They are the most amusing fish I have had.
This is one of my favorite fish in the tank, its quirks make it so fun. :) They dart around and swish their whiskers and blink their eyes. They are very peaceful and get along with every fish, and take a special interest and buddy up with my common pleco. :)
Just got one of these today its been in the tank 5 mins and is already the daddy, its only 2" long, muscled the 2 common plecs out of their home instantly! Then swam over and said hello to the four butterfly ghost commons which ran a mile,it then nipped around like it had taken some steriods scattering the eight tiger barbs and four odesa barbs all over the show. It then swam the whole length of the tank with the two sucking loach as bodyguards! Happy days....
I wouldn't call them peaceful.. I got 2 from a friend and wasn't awarw they're "proceed with caution" I left for a few days camping, came back and it's stomach was HUGE. Not normal huge, he ate 12 fish in total.. 6 neons, endlers and also some young platies. Be careful. I have to admit while I had them they were very fun to watch and playful. Always darting in the tank. They were In a 65g.
