hmmm....i was wondering, is there a difference between these altums and the peru altums, and altums with spots all over their body

these are true orinoco altums. they are more beautiful than the scalare from peru and they show light hints of color on their bodies, a bit of gold towards their rear and a faint blue green sheen on their fins. these grow at a faster rate than scalare, grow to a larger size and they are a wild caught only type fish, few if any reports of this fish spawning in captivity are known, although it is entirely possible. if you watch them sometimes you will be lucky enough to wittness them "yawn."
