i just adopted one and baught two more corys, spotted and julii. All I want to know is with the sand i have and my black kuli loaches will they take up all the food from the loaches cause they are faster eaters? also the loaches are night fish
I started with 4 of these fabulous fish and realised that they are shouling and wanted a few more when they started to breed! I now have 12 of them and along with my 1 male and 2 female Darwf Gourami are my favortie things in my tank. For Christmas my wife bought me a 28 litre tank to house a siamese fighting fish and some shrimp. I can't wait to get it cycled and ready!!
I have 4 of these little guys and 1 Albino Cory. They often swim together happy as can be. They are pretty "cute" as my girlfriend says, and fun to watch. They sometimes dart to the top of the tank for a breath of air (seemingly) and then straight back down to the bottom. A great little fish and fairly cheap - I got mine on sale for $2.99. My girlfriend has a little Fluval Edge tank and wanted me to tell ya'll that they seem happy as clams. Also, my tank is on the warmer side and they seem fine after a week (26*C).
My favorite of The Corydoras species for the simple reason they look better then all the others, in my opinion, plus they also seem to have a personality of their own, some shy and skiddish and others happy and playful. I've had other corys and these little guys are by far my favorite
I have had bad luck keeping these guys alive for longer than a few days after purchase, so they must be very sensitive. I have 2 peppered, 1 albino, 1 "smudge", and 2 of these cories in my tank. They seem to be the only ones who care about what species they are schooling with. I'm going to try and find more. Hopefully I will have better luck.
