Kentwood, MI new club

New aquarium club coming to Kentwood, MI near Grand Rapids.

What you can do:
- ask questions
- show their new animals or gadgets
- display DIY items
- buy/trade items monthly.

There is currently no fee to be in the club. Simply show up or don't.

The idea is to have monthly meetings, except in December (when everyone is so busy). I'll be looking into a meeting place. If anyone has a free meeting place, please PM me.

If you are interested in this club, please post a message at the forum in the link above. I think this would be a fun thing to do in the winter, and year round.

Are you aware that there is currently a local club that meets about 1 mile from your location?

I was thinking the very same thing, then again from time to time i see the locals at work. I haven't yet heard of this one yet but i suppose i will in time.

Yes, but you can't sell items at their monthly meetings without being a paid member (that's what I was told by a club officer). Hence the reason for my club. My club is free.

Non-members may sell at their 6-month auction. But I need to move some stock more often than that. VIPets doesn't want my endlers.

Actually, my new club is not progressing as yet, so I created a local Buy/Sell/Trade forum at the same website above. Most people don't ship in the winter, so you can trade locally with breeders without paying shipping, and still get stock in the winter. Give it a try.

This site for local buying/selling in Grand Rapids is still here. If you want to reach other people without going to club meeting this is a good way to browse what people have.

You also don't have to spend time and gas to go to a meeting to find out that what you want isn't there.
