I was reading about your 4 gal. tank. I live in San Diego also in the Scripps Ranch area. I love the Aquatic warehouse. I'm just starting to add plants to my 55 gal. tank. I also have a 3 gal. nano tank that houses Yellow shrimp and some endlers. If you ever want to trade some plant clipping for a few Yellow shrimp Let me know. I bought 14 on aquabid they have saddles but no eggs yet. I am also raising Tiger/hybrid endlers I have red cherry shrimp in my big tank but have not tryed the CRS yet are they easy to take care of? Yellow shrimp can't be mixed with red cherry shrimp or they will breed back to the wild plain color. Cystral red shrimps can go with yellow shrimp with no problem. You said you got a light at Homedepot. I need to get a new light for my 3 gal. as the 7watt is to small. Let me know if you want to trade shrimps. I need to get a new light first for plants for that tank first. I really like how your nano tank came out. I have no C02 or anything in mine just java moss, java fern. low light stuff.
