Cool. I don't have any places near me that sell stones as appealing as seiryu. I tried searching on google for places near me (other than the ones I visited first hand) and I couldn't find anything. How did you find your stones? UG's tanks have really inspired me to use rocks in my next scape (I just couldn't afford to do it in a tank as big as my 40) so I really want to use stones as the "theme" of my mini m. If you could hook me up with some, I would greatly appreciate it.

ah, I see. I don't get your messages until I stumble upon them. Post on my profile so that I can get a notification when you reply.
Back to iwagumi. I'm thinking that I will be changing my mini m to an iwagumi- whether it be salt water reef, or freshwater planted. I will do it planted if I can find some nice stones like that awesome one in your bb iwagumi. Please post an updated picture of that tank. The stone is so beautiful. I was also wondering if you had around 15 lbs of seiryu or ryuoh stone that I could buy from you, that way I know that I'm getting quality and not just pebbles from the bottom of the box at AF.
    Thanks!

You'd need more than 25 lbs, usually in a 40g 25 lbs give or take is the weight of the main stone alone.

I saw a guy selling 25 lbs of lace rock that looked pretty cool, but I don't think that 25 lbs would be enough. HBU?

well, the cheapest method is to go hiking and retrieve your own rock from a mountainside, or a local river, or something of that nature. However, since that tends to be difficult, the next cheapest would be to buy stone from someone selling on TPT or APC. If you have access to something that can break boulders, you can go to landscaping companies and buy boulders of rock, or go and find rock there. The most expensive and probably worst way to get rock is to go through AFA, since the rocks we tend to get through ADA are rubble at best for large tanks, but it is a guaranteed way to get them. The obtaining of good rocks is a never ending quest of pain in the buttocksery.
