In trying to get a handle on this, I figured I would start with the basics.

I have a 175g tank with clown loaches, angels, some balas, and have some ottos in another tank that I'll move over in the next couple weeks. Right now it only has a single t-8 bulb, no live plants, and Flourite/Flourite Red as the substrate. I'm looking at lighting solutions.

With my intent of maintaining 2/3 of the tank with a carpet of dwarf hairgrass, can you recommend how much t-5 lighting I should be using?

Also, would your recommendation change if I did not intend to add CO2?
