It is very interesting and a learning tool to see how you setup your tanks.

You were mentioning that the tubes should not have been green, I am using clear pvc tubes on my tank, although I get mine from the UK, you may be able to find some in the US:http://www.clearpvcpipe.com/clearpvctees.aspx

Also, what sort of lamps are those? They look really good, especially for open tanks.
