Measure the distance from about the tube to top of the substrate.
Type of t5 and reflector quality ect. makes a lot of difference.
If you find a matching type just multiply PAR found at depth by a ratio
2 tube equiv. and you have 5 at say 50PAR
    5/2 x 50 = 125
What is high light is another question w/ multiple answers.

Out of curiosity, do you have any PAR data on T5s in 24" of water? In my thread on the plant forum, I've been getting told I'm at super duper high light with 5 T5s on a 120. I was under the impression, especially since they are mounted to the top of an 8" canopy, that I was closer to the higher range of medium light. I know you are an LED guy, but do you have any good threads or information on them?

    Jeff,
There is someone on TPT selling a 36 inch BML 1 x 10000K Planted - XB Series Length: 36", Beam Angle: 90 Degree, Fixture Color: Silver)
    1 x SoLunar Controller for $249.00
Which is the light I am looking for with the controller.
    They stated:
I had an ADA Iwagumi tank running from January 18, 2015 to July 24, 2015.
Looks like they have only 1 post on TPT.
This is the only thing that makes me nervous.
    Seems like a good buy.
Should I buy new and just forget about this one :/
    What do you think??
    Thank you ,
    Laura

you have to watch the voltage.. The diodes are 3.3V and most of those boards are in series so voltage adds..
My suggestion of 10 up boards but multiple pucks is what I was looking at.
Of course it is possible to "cut" a trace and shorten each series strand but That is dependent on the layout and how to create more +/- "points"..

Twenty in series requires at least a 66V DC power supply.. and if driven by many off the shelf constant current drivers needs 2-3 v overhead.
    69V DC power supply....

yuji sells little 12" boards that run 24V .
they put 7 in series plus voltage dropping resistor..(minimal voltage drop at 24V) and 3 parallel circuits per board.
VTC Series High CRI MCPCB LED Module - Unit: 5 pcs ? High CRI LED Webstore

    "
The 24V are configured with 3 strings of 7 LEDs per string. The input mA per LED is 150 mA.

I'm thinking about ordering those PCB's for 5730 LEDs.

They come in all varying amounts for the # of LEDs'

What do you think is a good number of LEDs/puck? The more the better????

I like the 85mm size of the PCB's but I can get aluminum rod all the way up to 12" dia. So the PCB size won't really matter.

The data sheet gives 45-49 Lumens/LED so that's some indicator of brightness I guess. Rough estimate 20Leds X 45 Lumens= 900 lumens per puck.

I looked at cooper as well. But its hard to source large diameter cooper in the 3" range for heatsink if you go with the those 85mm PCB's.
The largest diameter cooper rod I can get here is 1.25"

Even though you have a Packers emblem on your private page....lol
Would you be interested in collaborating on a Yuji SMD light this winter?

I have a lot of nice production stuff at work, Stratsys BIG 3d printer, CNC laser cutter, manual and CNC mills(not good at coding them!)

I was just poking around a bit....Evil Bay has a 85mm PCB board that will work with the YUJI packages I looked at. Then make a solid aluminum 1" thick aluminum puck out of 3.5" dia. rod stock and mount it?

Then find a good PWM driver and wire it up.

Feel free to say no if you are not interested.

    Bill
