Hey Jeff. How are things going? Just wanted to see how those Kessil LED lights were working for you. Hope all is good.

Thank you. It was fun plus a huge learning experience for me.

I see that you know it's over at Tom's site now.

Any chance of a response to my call for help?
Otherwise, can you tell me how you dose that 75gal. tank of yours?

No pics, sorry. I went back to a reactor. I got tired of all the bubbles floating around.

So you added the pump inline with the cannister pump? That sounds like a great idea. I ended up yanking mine and putting it in a closed loop, leaving me with two spray bars, one under the other which doesn't sound nearly as nice as what you've done. Got some more pics so that I can see how it's done?

There's a pic of the pump in this thread, albeit not a very good one.

I put it inline with my canister on the outflow side. The impeller cover ( or volute if you want to call it that ) is threaded, so for that connection I used a 1 inch schedule 80 pvc fitting ( the gray stuff ). The end that attaches to the pump is threaded and the end that attached to the tubing is barbed. To the barbed end I connected 1 inch flexible tubing followed by a 1 inch by 3/4 inch barbed reducer and then connected that to my canister tubing. For the outflow fitting I slipped 1 inch flexible tubing over it, put in another 1 x 3/4 reducer and attached it to the canister tubing. I didn't mess with trying to use the venturi fitting that comes with the pump. It seemed like it would be a pain to connect so I bought an Aquamedic reducer T for airline tubing that I used to attach the CO2 line.

Jeff5614, I noticed in a post that you run a Sedra 3500 and you said that it was easy to connect. May I ask how you connected it?

I just bought one and I had a hard time getting anything to fit in the input of the venturi. I finally found a PVC connector that just barely fit. Anyway, after connecting it, I tried to test it in a laundry tub. I never really got it pumping. I am just curious what you did.

    Thanks, Al
