lol its good to know that your LPS will reassure you like that. I did like the one I had but the rep that they have just scared me soo much.
Phantom is an awesome name for a betta. Good choice.
I read so much bad rep about the CAE and when I got to PetCo (looking for otos) the guy there convinced me into buying it. He assured me that they are peaceful and eat lots of algae.
I went home and did a lot more research and couldn't find a single source that said that the CAE was peaceful and a perfectionist cleaner for its entire life. oh well
Well last week I named my Betta, Pax (Latin for Peace), and 2 of my other stand out fish (a chinese algae eater "Chandra" and a bamboo shrimp "Jean-Luc"). I just returned Chandra and Jean-Luc to the petstore because of compatibility issues (they were working out fine but it could turn into a dangerous situation in the future and I didn't want to take any risks)
I was contemplating changing Pax's name because much of the tank has changed (and he was just given the name) but I'm nearly 100% convinced I'm keeping it. The perfect ironic name for a Siamese Fighter Fish is Peace
I was looking at that post a few minutes after you posted it but I couldn't comment because I was hungry and made dinner lol. Phantom is an awesome looking fish. The name is great too. I'm subscribing to the thread. I want to see it develop.
very true very true. I hope all goes well. I look forward to hearing more about your tanks.
Very cool I hope it all goes well.
What are you planning on doing with the 20g Betta tank? I'm really interested to hear about all these different Betta setups. I feel like a betta is the perfect fish to keep at school, they are relatively tough, small, and, of course, gorgeous.
No no you're helpful. I have some Crypts in my tank right now and when I first put them in last week my Betta loved them. He would hang out between the stems. They don't seem to be fairing too well right now. I'm going to go out and get some Root Tabs. What tanks do you have?
Hey do you have any suggestions on Low Light plants that would make good "cover" for small fish such as neon tetras or the chili rasboras. I also want a bit denser cover for the betta to be less stressed out if I do introduce a new group
