Oh sorry... Forgot to add that the 14 pounds of misc. Golfball to tennis ball sized rocks costs $20 for all or it plus shipping. Some are a little bigger, some a little smaller. Thhey are all just as fancy and distinguished and interesting looking as the larger rocks i posted pics of, they are just smaller.

All 14 pounds fills up a medium sized flat rate box to give you an idea of the volume.

    Hi Jon,

oh, ouch! I'm sorry one of the bulbs didn't make it. I tried to pack them well, and put cushioning around the clip, to really hold them in there, and bubble wrap all around. Drat! And I'm sure it was an unpleasant cleanup, too. I'm sorry about that. Don't bother to send the Postage, and we'll call it even, OK?

So where did you post your soil question, in the low tech area? I'll go see.

    Hi Jane,
The light you sold me did arrive today! As usual when light are shipped one of the bulbs was broken. The great part is you had an extra, so all is well!! Thanks. Now I am trying to find a cheap soil I can use. I bought a 20lb bag for $30 and I need another. I was considering maybe a porus stone layer or organic potting soil as a first layer. I posted the question to see what others think. Thanks again soon I will have pictures of my new tank and you will see your light at good work!

    Hi Jon,

That sounds like a good setup for a "grow out" tank.

A word of warning, though. Setting up a tank on the lower level of a stand, while possible, is a real drag when its time to do maintenance. I'd make it as LOW Maintenance as possible. If siphoning, while sitting on the floor, and the level in your bucket level gets close to the water level in the tank, you lose "pull". My back is getting just creaky enough that I've decided no more lower level tanks. Although I'm still often sorely tempted, LOL!

Thanks for the positive info for my account. I just got a 29 gallon tank and want to do a 20 gallon long below it. I found the stand with someones trash. Score!! My idea is to heavily plant the below tank and have that serve as a filter. If possible. Similar to the Marine aquarium guys(refugium). I have just never crossed that bridge and look forward to getting there. The light your selling me will serve its purpose well. Thanks again Jane and as soon as you get me the price for shiiping I will be sending it to you.
