Canister Filter selection???

Hello friends. I am looking to purchase a new canister filter but not able to decide which one. I have 150 gallon freshwater community. Currently i have 4 HOB emperror 400's and also one JBJ reaction 4 stage 45u. But I am tired of those emperror's noise and also dont like to see 4 wide black intake tubes, I try to hide them with background but still .,...... So i want to replace those 4 HOB's with a large capacity canister.
I was looking into this Fluval FX5 and people seem to rave about it. Does anyone has long time experience with FX5 may be years? Do u recommend it?
I know eheim series are high quality but also cost more.
Any recommendations with pros and cons will help me decide.
