    - 12 LED channels (12-bit)
    - 8 relays
    - 3 temp probes
    - 4 dosing pumps
    - 1 auto fish feeder
    - 1 ph probe
    - 4 DC fans (8-bit)

I think I want to use the 5v relays as they seem readily available, I noticed lots of sites don't have the 12v.

What's best? I was thinking that the main PCB would have the electronics needed to run the main controller and small simple PCB's would have the electronics for the other components or is all together better?

For LED and fan connections I was thinking the 2pin dupont jumpers, the main board could have one multi-pin connector coming off the side for them like the Storm LED controller does.

Can the shield be the same footprint as a 5" screen? Mine is 5.25" x 3.25".

How much approximately would it cost for the board/boards and components?

    Thanks for your help!

Hey, well I'm getting closer and starting to think about the shield and would like to test soon.

Is there a cheap chip available for images to be loaded on instead of the SD card that can be built in and easily programmed to work as an SD card so the library still sees it? I don't mind spending a bit on a programmer. If not I can solder the card directly to the display.

Are you able to add in the TFT shield? It would be nice if it can handle a 7" screen to. I personally don't want one but others may, its the same pixel count and display driver so it should work with the software. If not no big deal.

As far as the ph, tds and orp I think I'm only adding ph at this point which I don't even care for. I have the $9 probe on the way and will order the atlas stamp soon. I don't want to add the others because I have to spend around $200.

These are the pins needed, you can choose what does what on which pin and I'll set the software to it.
