Well just a few things to think about. First I spent five years learning about marine plants before I attempted to grow them in a small (10gallon) tank. Believe me it is not easy to get the right mix for small tanks. I tried several dozen species and most proved unsuitable.
Unfortunatly there is no magic bullit to growing macros and virtually nothing that works with FW can be used for marine macro tanks. The macros do not have true roots so they can not utilize fertilizers in the substrate. You can not use CO2 as it is unneeded and will drop you pH below 8.0 and cause problems with corals and other animals.
You may have to dose nitrates which will make growing corals quite difficult in a small macro tank. I do not use a skimmer as it takes too much nutrients out of the tank. I rely on frequent water changes to add micro nutrients and only dose iron for the most part. That means about 20 % WC a week.
Just somethings to think about.
I Don't think I have any stones that are good enough to use with Bonsai that I'd be willing to part with, I wouldn't want to give you something I wouldn't personally use. And the others I'd only part with with a high price tag!
