Chris - Marko got the last box that I was actually holding back for myself. I only make one batch a year, and that process will start in June depending on weather. I'll follow up we all that showed interest before I start. building on what I've learned I expect the 2013 batch to be an unbelievably intense substrate base.

    hey man!
My friend Marko from my Club told me that you are selling mineralized topsoil. I am building a 30 gallon breeder tank this week and would like to get some for my base layer of the tank...

Sorry, I have not forgotten about the Kings Ransom orchid!!! Ripping it out of the large brass pot damaged the plant and my hands LOL. I'm waiting to see the them start to sprout...I was over-eager. As soon as I see survival you will get some!!

No I really don't. Keep in mind that the substrate is just one pert of the system along with maint.

Thanks for the info. Not sure if I want to use soil yet. Did u have any problems with getting cloudy water and problems with ammonia spikes?

NWIndy - I have not. There are people that do use it by itself. If so you will need to use root cap frets if you keep rotted plants in the tank

Hey Dogfish I see you use Black diamond blasting sand to cap your miracle grow soil, have you ever tried using it by itself as a substrate?

Hi! I will be dividing up the Kings Ransom orchid in the next couple of weeks. If you would send me your mailing address, I will send you a nice slip of it.
Easy CAT orchid to grow...thrives on neglect, fertilizer and water inbetween rains. I do give it blossom booster in the fall and it will bloom around Christmas.
