thank you so much for your advise. I do overstock a bit but am learning. got my 1st tank, the 10gallon, 5months ago. in the 2nd month I successfully bred bettas and have two 2month old babies in a 2.5 long. I switched a bad addiction for this new and healthy hobby. Sorry for the wrong name in the sand. Was typing when I was very sleepy. There hasn’t been any problems with the sand but when I put the moonlight sand in my 10gallon two days ago I was amazed how smooth it was and just running my hands through made me at ease; so I want my kuhli loaches to feel the same. I tried to get a 20 long for the 4guppys, 2 ottos, 3corys, 1dwarf frog, and very small baby albino rainbow shark but we have 5tanks in a 1 bedroom appnt and bf said he will get me a 55 when we move in 6months. Also if any problems occur I will give the fish away if I need to.
Now can my 4 guppys, 1 dwarf frog, 2ottos be fine in my 5 gallon? Also when I put the female betta in the 5 (she is in the 20l now) she east all the babies so they never have a chance. I could put her back in there if you say so. I know she would keep the population down in the 5g. Just let me know if you think the guppys are happy in the 5 or would be better in 10g. Also my bf said he would take the guppys in his 20Long (30inch)but he has tigger barbs. He just got them 4days ago and they never nip at the 1molly in there (that seems to have stunt growth, had it for 5months now and hasn’t grown bigger than a guppy), and the female betta dosn’t get bother by the tiggers either. He has four but wants to add a few more to the school. Also he has a 4inch rainbow shark in the 20L that he has had for 2years(5months ago the shark was in the 10gallon he gave to me), 2 fully grown corrys, and one bran new pleco that’s 3inch long. So if the guppys cant stay in the 5gallon would they be ok in the 20 with his fish or better off in my 10 with my very small baby rainbow shark and the 3 corrys? I also want to add a dojo loach to the 10 but I’m thinking that will be a horrible idea?
