    Hi, I'm a noob here and I saw you had some good posts about preparing driftwood. I have a beautiful piece I just found and am eager to begin. It looks very much like cedar, which I have heard can be a problem in tanks. It is 100% waterlogged (it has been damming up a tiny stream in my backyard for what must be years), but it is smooth, clean and seems totally hard/firm - no soft spots. Other than a soak / boil process, any pointers?
