    Hello,
I'am form Turkey. My name is Irmak. I am donig my master at Marmara University about hydrobiology. I need to set my tank at 700 and 1000ppm CO2. For that i buy Milwaukee MC122 pH Controller and other equipment. Before the i put the fishes (4 fishes each 30liters tank) in the elevated CO2 tanks i need to proove the controller can stabilize the pH that i need to. So i put the tanks water, oxygen tubes and CO2 diffuser. Because this 2 parameters important for the pH. i set the controller 6.4 but the value is drop and drop and drop. i saw 5.2 yesterday and i got upset. because i dont know why my controller cant stabilize the pH i want. today i will try change the water and mesure the first pH value and try the set it 6.5 pH. If the system dosent work again what should i do? please help me.
Thank you so much for help.

Yes, very nice tank and he has a good handle on how to work the severum. I don't do too well on plant ID, though. Some would look like some form of hair grass? I wonder how he went about getting it that thick without being pulled. I find the little plants root so loose that even a small tug gets them out. Maybe he fully planted and go them all going before adding the fish?
Quite a hill he has also. Wonder if that is all substrate or did he use something to elevate it and then possibly glue to the raised area? Lots of things he could teach me but not likely for me to get that into it. I'm more of a move, shoot and move on type guy. If it doesn't come easy and pretty quick, I lose interest.
I have to admit that I will not be getting into competition with him for a long time. Like never!
I like my fish and the plants do make them look much nicer but the idea of that kind of solid planting is just way out of my range, I'm afraid. Just not finding the motivation to work it that hard?

    Hello Rich,

If you have a moment, certainly no hurry, I have taken your advise and made some changes to my tank and wanted to see what you think? I bet a lot of people ask you questions due to your obvious knowledge and ability to communicate it?

I have started another thread. I have been into aquariums for a while, but I haven't joined a forum in along time and I "just" started with planed aquariums, only a short while ago. Whole different world really, between planted and just fish. I like it because it's another challenge and I love plants anyway, so I get outdoor plants, but this aquascape stuff... is just too cool.

So anyhow... here's my post about my currently CO2 solution and my effort to get some feedback on it. The more the better, good and bad, assuming of course you have the time. Thanks again.
