Aquatic Stores In Baltimore

I am currently doing some work in Baltimore,MD on the Fort McHenry and Baltimore Harbor Tunnels. I am staying in the Whitmarsh area and wanted to know if anyone could reccomend some shops in the area? Actually any real nice shops anywhere in the Baltimore area would be appreciated.

Exotic Aquatics is the best one in Baltimore. Aquarium Depot is pretty decent too.

Also Scales in Silver Spring has just opened recently, worthy of a visit. Look at PVAS.com or GWAPA.com for links.

I checked out House of Tropricals and Exotic Aquatic (which is very close to where I am staying) today. Both seem like excellent places with quite a large selection. IMHO, I think Exotic Aquatic is one of the best aquatic stores that I have visted. Too bad we don't have anything that nice in Atlanta. Thanks for the reccomendations. When I get back next week I would like to checkout Aquarium Depot and the Scales place. Although I could not find anything with direcions to the Scales store.

IMO, Aquarium Depot reminds me of Exotic Aquatics in that it has a large selection, but spread over more space. Each has stuff that the other doesn't; Aquarium Depot carries Seachem ferts, while EA doesn't. AD looks sort-of run down these days, but that's probably because the store was recently relaunched by a new owner after the previous business failed. If you're interested in plants, the ones at EA look much healthier than the ones at AD. By the way, the plants at the Petsmart in Towson are pretty healthy too, even if their selection is limited. Hope that's helpful.

I didn't mention SCALES because it wasn't in Baltimore...'tis a nice shop though. www.scales-tfw.com is the website. You should be able to google directions from there.

EA gives out bad advice. The one teenager pulling fish out for me almost squished the fish to death while he was counting them.

AD is so much better. Healthier plants, better advice, etc. H.O.T. is supposed to be really good though.
