29 low tech

Hi all!
I found a pic of my first planted aquaria (circa 1999). I have more pics; unfortunately, they are so old they need to be scanned first. just thought I'd share...

The tank is a 29 gal:
Kitty liter/sand substrate
DIY Co2
55w compact flo

I'm trying to remember the flora...?
(I'm guessing at the names)
A. Bolvianus
A. Madagas..
Italian vals
Moneywort
Various crypts
L. repens

It was a fun tank! You should have seen the roots on those plants; they loved the litter!

I later upgraded the lighting on that tank and went pressurized Co2. I dismantled the tank about 2 years ago. Unfortunately; I lost everything in my basement during a flood. At least I salvaged the Eheim, cylinder and needle valve; the Volkswagen on the other hand...

I as of yesterday, I ordered a 24g cube/stand combo. It will be medium tech

Are you thinking of a high tech tank this time around? I really like The jungle look you had going there. I have fish that I would not be able to see again if I let my tank grow out like that, so I have to trim
