Let's make a difference for our schools

Just a few months ago we were able to help fund 9 different school classroom projects, http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/lo...ifference.html We took a summer break from this activity, but now some schools are already starting a new year. I feel an urge to do this some more. If you can spare $5-$20, or even more, please join me and support this project: http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/p...1290&more=true

Let's try to help out another 9+ classrooms, please.

Thank you! I really missed the warm feeling I get when I donate to these projects. This one is unique because the kids will have a small tank for every 3 or so students. If that doesn't create new members for this forum in the coming years nothing will!

I couldn't afford too much with my moving soon, but every little bit helps, right?

Science labs in school were the coolest thing we ever had, so it would be nice to help someone else enjoy that experience as well.

The best thing about Donors Choose is that even a $5 donation is important, because the projects are mostly relatively low cost. You really get a bang for your buck when you donate there. And, helping children experience the thrills of science experiments, and aquariums is worth it all by itself.

Think back to when you were in grade school, and imagine how you would have enjoyed having a 1/2 gallon mini-tank to plant, care for, and study with just one or two others. Then, take a trip to Donors Choose, and pass along that feeling.

Every time you donate to a school project an angel gets it's wings?

As I am typing this, there are 390 of us viewing the forum. So, less than $10 per person would do it! That ringing you hear? Ask not for whom the bell tolls. (Good thing I wasn't a salesman or the only fish activity I would have had is eating those I caught!)

I wish we would have been able to do a project like this in the 6th grade. I'm 14 right now (HS freshman), and during my whole academic career, I have never been able to do something as cool and interesting as that. Hopefully I'll be able to during the next 4 years!

Anyway, my point is that this is a great educational activity for the kids, and everyone should donate if they have a few bucks to spare!

I'm planning on donating some in a few days, i need my debit card to be refilled.

Well, isn't it less than $10? Another reason I was never a salesman.

Okay, how about this: The next person to donate at least $5.00 will get 2 stems of limnophila aromatica for free from me. All you have to do is after donating, post here and request the stems. I'm taking your word for it, so please be honest.

I donated before and have new projects to donate to currently. My finance graduated in the spring with her teaching degree (she went back to school to get it after many years), got a job teaching 1st grade so I've been helping her stock her room. Its incredible the amount of items that is needed for bulletine boards, decorations ,etc to make a room friendly and inviting to the kids.
