after saltwater fishing, its hard to go back to freshwater...

ah... forgot about those, so i guess freshwater fishing still can be fun.. once in a long while i will go by the lake by my parent's old place and fish for carp, they are fun... biggest so far i got was a 36incher....

50, oh wow, mine was only around 30 - 35, i might still have some pic somewhere i will try to find it, when rita came, i left my comp on and couple of my hdd got fried, i think it might be on those, i hope not...

I could not disagree on this one. I spent 7 years in Panama fishing big bull Peacocks. If you want to fight a mean fish. Get a 20LB Peacock on the line, you will never forget it..

Freshwater fishing can be intense. Catching hybrids is like catching blues if you have the right tackle. Try catching a 15 lb fish on 8lb test with a light spinning rod. After about 20 of them, I think you would change your tune about freshwater fishing.

One of my ex bosses wanted to go striper fishing on a lake close to where I live using his boat and tackle that he fishes with in FL as well as Long Island Sound. He wanted to use gear that I would use for 60lb+ fish for fish averaging in the 20 range. He said with a serious face, "Once we get them up to the boat, just yank them over the side into the boat." Needless to say, we had a lesson on lighter tackle that day.
