Need help mounting two strip lights on a 10g tank

I have 2 15w 18" lights that I planned on using over my 10g tank, but without the stock hood on, the tank opening is to wide. I am wondering how I could use both strip lights? Any ideas?

Several options.
Glass top.
Glass or plastic strips from front to back on both sides of the tank. Set the lights on the strips.
