Help me upgrade my 26g to mid light (low cost options)
Right now I have 2 single bulb T8 fixtures. One is a 15w 18" that came with the tank. The other is a 17w 18" "plant grow" bulb that came with another tank.
I'm looking to get to a mid+ light setup at a minimal cost. I don't want to invest too much money in this tank. Here are a couple of options I've come up with. Option #1 http://www.petstore.com/ps_ViewItem-...-AQLIFUFL.html and maybe keep one of the T8s for ~65w total at $70 or so. Option #2 http://www.bigalsonline.com/BigAlsUS...lestriplight24 2 of these and get rid of the rest for 56w at about the same price. I am also open to any ideas you may have. Thanks Kyle |

i like option 1 because it provides more light but replacement bulbs will cost more as they are HO(high output) t5 bulbs instead of the cheaper normal output t5 bulbs. Whatever you do look at the measurements and make sure you have room on your tank and that the light is above the section of the tank you want most of your plants.
