would this PC light work??


ok they have screw in PC lights w/ internal ballast and the color temp has a range of 2700k-6700k what does that mean????? i was going to use it for a nano desk tank its like 14.99 and screws into a normal lamp

I'm guessing you're referring to the color index... it means that the lamps come in a variety of color temperatures, and the one you would want is the one that is 6700k. Most people agree that the spectrum you want to fall within for planted aquariums is between 6500k and 10,000k.

But $15 for a bulb is highway robbery! Go to your local walmart, and take a stroll down the pet supplies aisle. You will see the perfect, screw-in CF bulbs that you need, at half the price. I don't remember how much they are exactly, but they damn sure aren't $15! I mean, $5 more and you can get a Hampton Bay desklamp from Home Depot, which is way better...
