Finnex Light Fixture

I have a 4G nano from Finnex and it is about 8mo old and the light stopped working. Replace the bulb, still no light. What could be the problem is there a way for someone to help me trouble shoot to fix this. I need this light!!!!
Could someone please help me. I am in the Dallas/Ft Worth area so there are a lot of supply houses for just about anything.
Just started CO2 on this tank yesterday and now no light, well I have a less wattage light but not enough.

Call Finnex, they might replace it since it's less than a year old.

Could be the wiring or ballast since you're ruled out the bulbs.

My original light was giving me a fit too.{I think they are just cheaply made}
I bought a second light, and two new bulbs. Then the first light started working again! Now I run them both, one on a noon burst.

So if they won't replace how would trouble shoot to trace the issues ie starter or ballast?? Where should I start?

Did you have a great deal of moisture to build up under the lightning section.

You have to know a little bit about current flow, first of all. The process of troubleshooting electricity is as simple as following the path of the current and using process of elimination. You've already eliminated the possibility of the bulb. Now follow that backwards, along the path of current, until you get to the end that plugs into the electrical outlet. Along the way, what you are doing is, first of all, looking for frayed wiring, or disconnected solder points, and replacing individual parts, like the ballast, the switch, etc.

Ultimately, it really isn't that complicated, but I can see how it would be overwhelming if you don't have a basic understanding of current.

No moisture that i could see the lens rarely even became dirty from splash! This is over the open 4G nano. A basic knowledge of wiring but with a little help I can do this. I will take it apart later today and if anyone is around later I can post pics or answer any Q's Thank You all so much.Karen

call finnex before you take it apart. Destructing it could leave you without being able to do a warranty on it. Why monkey with it when you could get it for free?
