Nova Extreme opinions

Anyone familiar with this fixture? Is it cheap quality? Noisy? I would pull the actinic bulbs and use 10000k's for a 90 gallon freshwater If i was to get it.

never used a Nova but i hear good things about them, i am defantly upgrading my lights to T5's once get pressurized CO2, and have been looking at the Nova Extremes

The price at Dr.Foster on the 4 bulb version is $60 less than anywhere else I have seen. I can't find a lot of reviews anywhere. Hope someone here has it on their tank.

Did you run a search on this forum for info on the Novas? There have been a number of threads; some more positive and some more negative.

Main issues from what I remember were noisy fans and some fixtures did not contain individual reflectors for the bulbs.

After pricing them out I went with a Catalina Solar fixture, but I think those have gone up in price now so might not be as good a deal as they were.

Teks are the highest quality T5HO fixtures on the market ATM, but they're also quite pricey.
