Actinic vs 7100K blue bulbs
I have a Coralife 72" deluxe CF light, which have (4) 96 watt bulbs. Since I'm going low tech, I'm only using 2 of the them, which produces about 1.5 wpg. Originally, I had 10000K bulbs with actinic and later replaced the actinic with 6700K to see the difference between the 10000k and 67000K bulbs. I actually like the 10000K bulbs.
I am thinking of going back with actinic bulbs, since I like the blues in the fish being emphasized more. I did some researching and read there are 7100k blue bulbs available as well. These bulbs show the blues and are not flourescent as what the actinic bulbs do. So I was wondering if anyone uses these 7100K blue bulbs and like the appearance of their fish/plants using them? And if you have/had actinic bulbs also and like/dislike the appearance, please let me know.
Thanks.
