lighting question


i found a screw light at wallmart, the light is a 56k. my question is is this is this any good for a planted tank?

yep anything in 5000k-10,000 k range is good for planted tank, you sure thats the only bulb you see, i know walmart also carry 6500k by Lights of America, you'll see it at bulb/lightning section

The only thing with the screw sahped bublbs is that they have a lot of restrike. You lose a lot of light energy to heat.

Yep. A 23 watt bulb will only give you ~15 watts probably.
