How powerful are compact bulbs

Most of the compact Fluorescent bulbs have very low watts, but the light they is much greater than other bulbs of the same watt or bulbs of higher wattage.

I want to know how many and what kind of these bulbs you all would sugest for a thirty gallon tank that has co2

Depends on what you are planing on growing. High or low light plants
Do you have adequate substrate?

Greater than other bulbs... you mean incandescent bulbs? That would be correct.

What are the dimensions of your tank?

Ignore the "equivalent to ##watts of incandescent light". With CF bulbs, you want 3 watts per gallon since there is so much restrike. So I'd go with 90 watts of bulbs on your 30 gallon, at the very least.

I will have a subsrtrate if florite and sand on top
i don't know yet what types of plants I am going to grow, I suspect I should consult the index of plant on the sight to find out what ones I want to grow.

and the dementions of my tank are
30,1/4'' long 12,1/2'' deep and 18,1/2'' tall
