Hi I went to the LFS where I bought my 15" Hagen aqua-glo tube to look at what is available in 24 or 30", It would seem that both the aqua-glo and power-glo tubes are rated as 18000K.
Wassup with that? Usefull for our planted setups? Never seen yu guys go that high yet on this forum. The Aqua-glo gives the nicest fish colour I have ever seen.

I use aquaglow and power glows for some of my tanks. They work very well. They have pretty high peaks in the red and blue spectrum so plant growth is pretty good.
I do like the colour the bulbs give everything too.. the fish look very nice.

this is one of those cases where the bulb has multiple phosphors, so the color temp is kinda meaningless.
