Helloooooooooooooo out there!!

Anyone from the Bluegrass out there reading this? Surely I can't be the only one interested in hearing what's going on in the state as far as our hobby goes!

So where do you all primarily get your fish and plants? Mail order or a favorite LFS?

Just curious as there doesn't seem to be a big selection of stores around the Lexington and surrounding areas.

Well, first, I agree... GO CATS!!! Blood bleeds blue around here....

Second, there is an excellent LFS in Lexington... Trying to remember the name of it... Found it.. message originally from here. And was another KY person... Store called JustFish, sorta a hole-in-the-wall type area, but EXCELLENT store... Check it out..

Hmmm...I think I've run across that store's web site before.

I'm gonna have to drop by there just to take a look around. It's cool that it's just fish stuff and not a "complete" pet store too. More stuff for us!!

Just fish is a pretty good store. I am sad that one of my favorite places to buy plants has closed down. It was the Regency Pet Center off Nicholasville road across from K-Mart. I just moved here last year from Louisville and it closed only months after that

They still have an aquarium service running though.
I have to admit Louisville (and Clarksville, IN) has a great selection of stores.
If anyone is ever in the area you should check out Green tree Pet Center in Clarksville, and there are too many in louisville to name.

TetraFreak is in Kentucky now, too. He just moved there without the benefit of taking his tanks, so you may want to give him a big welcome if you haven't already

Rock Louisville Baby. I am now just getting into the planted tank (had an Oscar tank for years, and a Nano reef) So I am scouting for good plant stores

I use to drive down Versailles Road, I lived out just past New Circle road off Harrodsburg Exit, it use to be nothing but cornfields out that way.
Now?

Houses out 10 miles or more and more being built.
That was well over 10 years ago, I'm scared to go back now

I was born there actually.
Dad taught Evolution and Entomology at UK.

Just a shout out from Carrollton Ky, There's a place in downtown carrollton called Baits galore fish &more that will be going out of buisness around the begining of next year and the owner has EVERYTHING on sale, from tanks to fish she's selling it all, even the store is for sale. She has some great bargains, She sold a 55gal (used) for $40. If you're in the area you should check it out.
