Popsicle goby!

It's actually called Red Neon Goby. But the orange/red coloration is semi-translucent and very intense - it really looks like a popsicle.

The orange/coloration of the lips and cheeks is pretty funny. The fish arrived in almost full color and ate frozen food only few hours after arrival. As usual we will keep then in quarantine for 2 weeks before offering for sale. If this fish is as hardy as the other newly imported gobies it will probably become very popular.

These are so neat! I just got rid of my CAE's and flying foxes. These and a couple gara's might be good replacements.

Can you offer a little more information?

What parameters do they prefer?

Will they eat algae or meaty foods only?

Can they handle CO2?

I'd like to hear more about a pretty cool looking fish.

Me too.

Max size? Do they need to be kept in pairs or more. Are they bottom dwellers, like corys and plecos?

Basically, everything we need to know about keeping us and them happy. I've googled but the info is limited.

Price??

-They are very hardy fish.
-They can be kept in acidic water to phs of around 7.6 on my experience.
-They will eat some algae types, meaty foods...not very picky as an eater
- Not sure how much CO2 they can handle. I have seen some tanks with CO2 in them but they also have goo aeration and flow.
- They can be kept single, pairs group.
- They will not eat plants, other fish, shrimp, snails
- they hang out in the bottom and glass
- Max size: as fas as I know aroun 3"

Hope this helps.

I've had one of these for ~1.5 years now. I keep him in a tank with yo-yos, a gold gourami, emperor tetras, and tiger barbs. Recently i've added more gobies.
PH is slightly less than 7, temp=78, and a lot of water movement. He (she?) hangs out on the rock right below where a powerhead is located. He seems to prefer meaty fare as far as food goes. Pretty cool little critter.

Hope that helps

Those are beautiful, especially the first pic. Save 3 for me, I'm about a week away from placing my order.
